The 179th winner of the 2000 Guineas, held on Saturday 2nd May 1987 over the Rowley Mile, was Don't Forget Me (9/1), a bay colt by Ahonoora out of African Doll, owned by Mr J Horgan. The winner won by a neck in 1 minute 36.74 secs, with half a length back to the third. A field of 13 runners contested the race which was worth £98,928 (Equivalent to £266,100 in 2017)
